The quality of our staff, their commitment to the care and nurturing of children, their operation as professionals and their growth as a unified team are some of our greatest strengths. Arise has developed a local reputation for being a caring community and this has largely been earned as a result of the efforts of the staff.
The current teaching staff are Mrs Cathy Wanganga and Mr Nigel Limon. They both joined us from Maitland Christian School, and each has over 20 years’ experience as educators in Christian Schools, including many years working with students who struggle academically, and previous experience in Learning Support and special education.
Our education team is completed with two experienced Learning Assistants. Miss Cass Willmott and Mrs Jody Gale have many years of experience in providing support for children with a variety of learning needs.
Cathy has worked in Christian schooling for over 21 years. She is passionate about delivering high quality education that is accessible to all students. In her downtime she loves to read a wide range of books and eat the ‘occasional’ chocolate whilst doing so.
Nigel has worked in Christian schooling for over 20 years. His passion is to see his students achieving success. In his downtime he loves to play guitar or computer games and do short-term mission work in the Solomon Islands.
Jody has worked in learning support for 10 years. She is passionate about helping students to find their strengths and shine in them! Some of her hobbies outside of school include walking her dog, gardening, reading and activities with her husband and big kids.
Cass has worked in Learning Support for the last 5 years in both Australia and England. She is passionate about seeing the growth that students make through the year: academically, personally, socially and spiritually. For fun, Cass loves exploring, reading and spending time with friends and family. She is also studying a Bachelor of Primary Teaching degree at the University of New England.
